Well, once I was excited. It's now been nearly 2 months and through a comedy of errors on their part, I still have no system. I've just cancelled by order and forced them to refund. I have no faith in them and their shite customer service, so I'm just going to go buy a comparable system that isn't as cool but is much cheaper and will at least allow me to have the system... well, immediately. Fuckers.

Yes the alienware area 51 laptop I got was kick ass, when doom3 first came out it ran it smoothly. I never had any problems with it.
Untill... One day soon after my warrenty expired (go figure) I realized that every tiem I restart my computer and go to play a game it crashes. Playing game to ----> Power off, no error, no nothing.
If I can get it to power back on my first try it will ushaly stay working ok maybe for a day or so, otherwise it will repeatidy crash over and over as I try to turn it on.
Well I had a computer for a few years so I wasnt all hating aleinware about it, I decided to look for soultions.
I emailed alienware, not for a solution, but just for a course of action as to what I should do now. No response, ever.
I scanned for virus's, its clean.
I reformatted, problem persist.
I thought perhaps it was overheating, the fan works, the air that comes out is a bit warm. I tried leavign it off for a while, turned it on started a game core temp was about 60 (gets up to 76) and it crashed. I bought a external cooler, no effect.
As rebooting seems to effect the problem I ruled out overheating, its a hardware conflict Im thinking.
I think a cure for aids is more likly to be discovered than a cure for my alienware, its retarded. I cannot play games without it crashing.
Its good for ANYTHING BUT GAMES, and yet is supposed to be the ultimant gamming rig? its like a tiger without teeth or claws, all it can do is fondal you.
I have had horror storys with HP's compaqs (the old compaqs where great tho) Dells (but dells customer service was alwsome)and gateways. It seems to me all computers are prone to break down, I just wish my alienware wasnt so damn expensive with such a retarded problem.
I had a computer custom built for me by a friend and it rocks so far, I hope this turns out to be the way to go.
However I still own my 3K dollar aleinware area 51 and I dont want to give alienware another penny for a extended warrenty. So I will try reformatting, or I will just shoot it with my AK-47 and film it to post on the internet, maybe a 3k dollar sacrifice will convice would be buyers to stay away from expensive computers like AW that will break.
