Clients and tigers and bears, oh my

Friday, May 31st, 2002

Long day today, and I still haven’t really woken up. Coffee infusions have been ineffective. Started off with a client meeting - the company shitcanned almost all of their staff, including our main contact, and are “restructuring”. It’s always disconcerting to walk into a meeting with new people; doubly so when they inform you, over a one-foot high stack of papers, that they have been reading through all previous “correspondence” with our prior contact. Every email, printed out. Weirdness. Luckily I’ve never applied my patented sarcasm with the client in question…

Off to the new and improved Farmer’s Market / Grove for lunch. Pretty nice, if somewhat Disney-esque. Followed that up with a trip to the Vespa dealership to check out the potential new wheels… very nice. For some reason, I want to put on a Ben Sherman and play Paul Weller the rest of the afternoon. No, not really.

Favorite website ever

I do believe I’ve just found my favorite website ever. http://www.vicandbob.net. I’m not even going to try and explain… I got hooked on them and Eddie Izzard when I was living in London. Izzard’s made some headway here in the states… these guys don’t translate quite as well.

And away we go…

Finally getting into this whole blog thing. Just a tad late on the uptake this time, but there you go. The reasons for doing this are two-fold: 1) I wanted to write up a bunch of crap about our recent European jaunt, and 2) this will force me to write on a semi-regular basis, thus working out the measly-little-girly creative muscles in my brain.

Still tinkering with design and other elements because it’s good procrastination and I am the procrastination king. I will probably spend more time changing colors slightly and moving elements around over the next few days than I will writing anything in here, so you have been warned.

Thanks to Wendy for color scheme help (she dresses me, too) and thanks to Jason for pointing me in the right software directions and letting me copy his templates so I didn’t have to think very much about anything. Do use his lovely blogrolling.com application, won’t you?
