Clients and tigers and bears, oh my

Long day today, and I still haven’t really woken up. Coffee infusions have been ineffective. Started off with a client meeting - the company shitcanned almost all of their staff, including our main contact, and are “restructuring”. It’s always disconcerting to walk into a meeting with new people; doubly so when they inform you, over a one-foot high stack of papers, that they have been reading through all previous “correspondence” with our prior contact. Every email, printed out. Weirdness. Luckily I’ve never applied my patented sarcasm with the client in question…

Off to the new and improved Farmer’s Market / Grove for lunch. Pretty nice, if somewhat Disney-esque. Followed that up with a trip to the Vespa dealership to check out the potential new wheels… very nice. For some reason, I want to put on a Ben Sherman and play Paul Weller the rest of the afternoon. No, not really.

What are Vespa’s going for nowadays? I was thinking of getting one for around town putting. I saw the new “Mini’s” that they released here in the US. I think they look pretty damn cool but not so mini as I’d like. They’re pretty beefy but good for downtown parking. Especially when every fucking yuppie for 30 square miles drives a goddamn Navigator…

Sigh… another place to check to carry on conversations. The new ET-2 (45mph max, good enough for me) is going for about 3k… the ET-4 (65mph, requires a real motorcycle license) is 4k. Affordable and fun. Should be great for putting around Venice.

this is so sad…one more place to have to type responses.
very disconcerting for designers. I long for the day when they can hook a cable into my brain so I can just send visual responses.

Oh, I can’t wait to get a pink swirl in response to “what do you want for dinner?”

with that attitude, you’ll be lucky to get a brown skidmark.

Well if you set it to mail you when the comments are posted there isn’t much checking going on. It’s the lazy mans bbs.

When u jumpin on the blogwagon Ms. Pink Swirl for Dinner? I know designers usually have a very loose grasp of the language but I’m sure you could put up some purdy pictures ;-)
