Jesus Jones … not
We got all cleaned up, found my 11 year old Doubt sweatshirt and headed out to see Jesus Jones at the El Rey. We got there, and the damn place was deserted. No people, no lines, no nothing. The marquee said “JESUS JONES - JUN 27″ but unless that show started exactly on time and ended within 45 minutes, no go. We weren’t that late.
Only by checking Goldenvoice’s website on our return home did we get an answer… the show had been cancelled, although obviously late enough that the El Rey hadn’t bothered removing their sign for it. No reason why, no warning, no email notice from ticketmaster (who will refund the show, but not their $6 per ticket bullshit handling fee).
Fuck Ticketmaster.
Oh well, the new album sucks anyway.

what a waste…that vintage shirt was cool. At least we got home in time for Ozzy on VH1 Classic rock:)

There’s always one retard though who still turns up when a gig is cancelled, I knew it was cancelled and I live in the UK.
You want to learn how to use a phone to check with the venue prior to leaving.
The new album is superb. What do you know about music? You’re American!
