Besides working our asses off all week, what else happened?
Not a hell of a lot… my workouts and bike rides slacked off, I ate like crap… we finally got our plane tickets for the upcoming Buffalo trip, and I’ve gotta head over to Robby’s a few times this coming week to nail down some music to play for the festival.
Picked up some new work, really realizing we desperately need to redesign the fungus site but not motivated and don’t have the time. Someday soon…
Caught “bruce almighty” late thursday night when we needed a break. Great concept, a couple of really funny parts, but overall - complete shit. I hate when movies wuss out and go for the lowest common denominator.
Friday night we had dinner with Dehais and Kristy Jo, who’s in town for a week or so… Delmonico’s provided yet another fine meal and bottle of wine or three… then off to Finn McCool’s where we met up with Dave, Heather and a friend of hers and polished off yet more booze. That proved to be a late night…
Saturday my sister came up and set up on the boardwalk selling her homemage magic wands. How my sister and I came from the same genetic stock is beyond me, but bless her anyway. We feverishly worked on the site all day Saturday, finally finishing up around midnight or so and launching it. We’ve built it, so now, hopefully, they will come.
Sunday… slept in late, was going to go catch Finding Nemo but the hordes of screaming children in line made us take a second look at that plan, so lunch at PF Changs and a wander up and down 3rd street promenade, which lead to nearly $500 in art book purchases. Would have been less painful to see the movie. Ran into Greg and Anna randomly at the promendade, so caught up with them for a bit, then came back home… now I’m doing yoga, going to go to the gym, and do my bike, all before the season finale of 6 Feet Under tonight.

Gotta agree with you about “Bruce Almighty” (except that I didn’t really think it was a great premise, but whatever). I mean, the guy gets all of god’s powers and he tries to impress his girlfriend and get promoted at work? Come on now, if you’re god, what do you need with that stuff? Apart from a few scenes that were admittedly very funny, the movie was basically a dud. I have no idea how it made all that cash though, I only went cause my Dad wanted to see it, otherwise it just looked very average.
