ich bin ein auslander

got back in last night around midnight… didn’t just unplug, picked up and went across country and tooled around with the goos. boston, hampton beach, buffalo, syracuse… then down to watkins glen to visit with wendy’s familty for a day before heading back home.

fantastic time, just what i needed… but now i need rest. working my way through bills and receipts and general bookkeeping today; laundry, returning phone calls, catching up on work things that fell through the cracks…

tomorrow might be a normal, sane day.

most of the emergencies and disasters have been dealt with… a few lingering, but the situation’s under control, nothing to see here…

going to unplug for a few days and take a breather.

wendy’s cat, onyx, disappeared three days ago. he’s 17 so we of course assumed the worst… he’s never disappeared for that long before, either. so inbetween shitstorm of work, fuck ups, things breaking, balls getting dropped, etc, that happened….

needless to say, we spent a lot of time looking, walking up and down the area, printing out flyers and posting them, etc, etc, etc… while still trying to concentrate on the various work projects that were falling apart around us, with computers breaking and not booting, phones dying, my dad taking a bit of a spill (he’s ok too, now)…

but the little turd just showed up. think he got trapped in someone’s basement or garage or something.

so everything is better now, and i could give a rat’s ass about work or other lame little problems. time to hang with the kitty and get drunk and pick shit back up tomorrow.

is not a good day.

well, that’s all just changed again. going into massive crunch time now. things fell apart. it’s now 11pm, huge deadline on monday that i thought was 99% done but is now 0% done. Second huge deadline on wednesday - that one is also at 0% right now.
