Well, we were going to go out to the burlesque thing with jason et al but a combination or laziness, bad afternoon traffic and rain conspired to make us stick closer to home. Simon got a gig djing the 80s tunes at finn mccools so that’s all we ended up doing… sareb, blondell, peggy, matt and liz all showed up, as did a number of vodka tonics…. simon did the taxi driver look with his spanking new mohawk, i went drunken pirate, and wendy was fuckin’ smoking with a little kill bill nurse number. nice. probably best we didn’t go to the burlesque show, as i don’t think performers appreciate being upstaged by their audience.

at any rate, part of the 80s set simon spun last night from his laptop (spun… well, i guess technically, a hard drive spins) included “electricity” by omd. man, i totally forgot about that band… loaded up the best of… on the ipod this morning, and did my bike ride listening to some seriously fantastic pop songs. that band never really did get the recognition they deserved.

speaking of my ipod… it’s busted. I can load exactly 126 megs onto the thing before the hard drive chunks and shuts down. it’s a 30 gig ipod. why, oh why, couldn’t the hard drive error have occured at, say, the 27th gig? why 126 megs? oh well. still under warrenty, and i just got the shipping box… so i’ll be packing it up and sending it off on monday. workouts are going to suck for the next month or however long this is going to take.
