what a few days
It’s been awhile - and this entry barely happened because i’m pooped from deleting well over 30 comment spams that built up over the past few days. I’m going to go ahead and install mt-blacklist when I do the blog move, which will be happening tomorrow… so no posts for the next day or so until the DNS changes.
It’s been a crazy few days - I’ve moved most of our sites over to the new server, which is a dream come true. Thanks again, Jason, for the recommendation. Lots of cool stuff going on in the next week or so as I play with all the new freedoms I’ve got tech wise.
In the middle of trying to do all of that, we’ve got Karl and Graham visiting from London, so we’ve been out just about every night taking them around LA, doing the meet and greets and whatnot. I headed down to OC Thursday to hang out with my dad for his birthday and had a little dinner… somehoe managed to throw my back out for a day or two so didn’t really do much exercise… friday, wendy and i spent some time working with karl on his new site then off to hollywood for dinner with john and to catch neil hamburger at the knitting factory with mike, anna and assorted others.. saturday, a house warming party at ej’s new amazing venice pad, so karl could meet some of our local friends, skeely, marie, blondell and a few others as well… sunday was going to be a relaxing day but ended up being another 15 person dinner at delmonico’s, where we ended up staying until well after they closed, drinking at the bar and lighting up and smoking… and old sk001 lock-in where the rules went out the window. most excellent.
And on Monday, we rested. well, not really, but we’ve seen absolutely no one today, taking today to catch up on work, continue the server move, and rest and recharge for what i’m sure will be an increasingly crazy week.
