back from poker

back from rock star poker. one of the more surreal experiences in my life thus far. good to be in vegas and get the whole vip treatment, but very strange. felt kind of icky. didn’t get in on the pre-game tourney since everyone thought i was a ringer john brought in. that kind of blew. the after party for the real game was in the real world suite at the palms… looks much bigger on tv. stayed there until 4am. drank a lot. saw a lot of girls in their underwear. not much else to report. some funny stories i guess, but nothing really printable.

more excitement

been so busy working it seems we haven’t been getting out much… basically, if you want to see us, be prepared to have a late dinner somewhere. skeely, ej and marie are all back from their tour so we’ve been spending a little time with them… had dinner at c+o last night with skeely, greg, anna and david ellison.. that was nice. somehow i’ve managed to mostly keep up with my bike/gym grind… slogging through everything somehow, although wendy’s had the brunt of the work this past week.

off to vegas for two days to indulge in some rock star poker…

God bless fridays

1. What city or part of Los Angeles do you live in now?
Venice Beach is in the hizzous

2. If you have lived somewhere else in the area, where was it?
Hollywood Hills, off-Melrose, off-Fairfax… the barrio around USC… and then the OC, going backwards in time.

3. Besides where you live now, where else would you want to live in the area?
I’d love to live in a fictional London with better food and warmer weather. Those were the only things that drove me away. Or a fictional NYC with affordable housing. OH, in the area? Nowhere. I could survive up in the hills, i guess.

4. Where would you not want to live?
Anywhere inbetween LA or NYC.

5. How often do you venture out of your area?
Fairly often. Friends in Hollywood, family in OC, and tons of work related travel.

6. Where do you usually go when you get out?
The gym. Doesn’t that suck?

7. How far do you work/school from where you live?
It’s approximately 17 steps from the bed to my office.

8. Money is no object; Beach, the Hills, the City or Leave?
Beach. Love it. I’d just get one of the super pimp places here.

curiosia tickets?

Wednesday, August 18th, 2004

Welcome to my life. I just found out that I’m not going to be here on Friday, August 27th… but I happen to have 4 really, really good tickets for the Curiosa festival that night.

So rather than straight off ebaying them, they’re up for face value price right now. The only catch? Buy all four. Come one, you’ll get a date with the goth girl you’ve always wanted. Kick ass lineup, amazing seats. First served, first come.
