LOS ANGELES - Dutch scientists think they have discovered the diet that can add almost seven years to one’s life and massively cut the risk of heart disease. The so-called “Polymeal” includes red wine and fish — both known to help prevent heart disease — dark chocolate — which is known to reduce blood pressure — along with fruit, vegetables, almonds and garlic to help with reducing cholesterol.

Following the diet could lead to a massive 76 percent reduction in the risk of heart disease.

Research showed men who follow the diet can live more than six and a half years longer than those who do not. In women, the Polymeal increased life expectancy by nearly five years.

Researchers found the diet did have one unfortunate side effect — bad breath and nasty body odor.

Finally made a decision - we’re sticking in town for the holidays, rather than heading back east… spent all day yesterday at a funeral for a family member, so it was decided it would be best to stick around with the family this year. with the now regular goo new years happening in california this year, it makes sense anyway to just stick around. we’ll head back east in january or february.

tonight we’re off to dinner with greg and anna and then we’re going to catch the life aquatic. can’t wait. wen and i are about to sit down and finally start planning our xmas shopping. hopefully we’re not too late to do most of it online. we’ll see.

tomorrow night we’re off to see tj play a showcase… last conversative, one of the bands i did production on. glad robby got this together, get a little non-buffalo exposure. it really is a fantastic album so here’s hoping.

what else is going on? not much… cleaning up my computer and getting ready for the new one. should be a painless upgrade, for once… mostly due to the monster firewire drives we have sitting around these days. all of my docs easily copied over. apps won’t be too hard as all the companies finally got hip to multiple downloads of purchased installers. just have to get all those emails and codes together.

wen’s birthday is tuesday. i have been expressly forbidden from organizing a party… so for those of you who care, just send an email or give her a call.

not really sure what i’ll be up to holiday wise. no real parties to speak of this year. apparently my social mojo stock has dropped this year, but quite frankly, i’m too exhausted to really give a shit. just going to hang out with some friends and do the low-key dinners and whatnot. do a little decorating around the home this coming week… try to get to disneyland and check out the lights and then get the hell out of there… all that sort of crap.

I’ve been using the same computer for 3 years now. It’s been a fine machine, but I’m sick and tired of waiting for it to load photoshop or switch between apps or reboot. It runs like a dog. Time to upgrade.

Can’t really afford it, but in the name of additional tax write offs, I went ahead and ordered one today. Always wanted one of these. God bless alienware.

i cannot stop listening to tegan and sara. or the eels “christmas is going to the dogs”.

just back from a last minute trip to vegas. literally. first time i’ve ever done that. bought tickets at 5pm, on the plane at 7pm, landed around 8, straight to the green day show, hung out after, quick crash in bed, back at the airport at 10am and back home (to about 20 messages and a few desparate sounding clients - how do they know the second you leave?) by 11:30, just in time for lunch.
