i just love that fresh computer smell.

got it yesterday. i can no longer wait three years before upgrading. I can’t believe i waited that long before. I no longer have time to get a cup of coffee when I launch applications. What a joy.

Mostly completed the new computer transfer-two-step. All my docs are over and semi-organized, all my apps are reinstalled and upgraded if needed… nice.

So, one last fuck you to Alienware. On the day I finally gave up and asked for a refund, I ordered a customized system from Dell. I got it three days later, it’s setup and running wonderfully, and I still haven’t been refunded by Alienware.

One last thought - with any luck, this will be my last PC. If Mac trends continue, I fully expect to be able to get a mac and not worry about having to see everything on PC before launching. I’ll still have a system to do tests on, but I plan to develop on Mac next time around.
