Having a blast so far. Flew in Thursday night… went over to the Albright Knox on Friday. Wendy’s show looks amazing, installed our music on the soundsticks and then in the main hallway we’ve got our little piece playing… and we did a warm up run through of our live set at the little VIP party. We had dancers. Pretty cool.

Wandered around the festival most of the day yesterday… it’s just getting bigger and bigger every year. Very cool stuff going on… and then we closed day one of the festival with our set at 10 last night… seemed to go over pretty well. Again, that might have been more due to the dancers…

Enigma is here and playing as well. Pretty damn cool. These guys scared the shit out of me years ago..

Well, that’s just about it. Bags are packed, cab is picking me up in 7 hours or so and it’s off to Buffalo. We’ll be playing live and I’ll be DJing at the Albright Knox on Friday night, then I’ll be DJing on and off at the MIA Festival Saturday and Sunday, and Amungus will be headlining the festival Saturday night… which I just found out last night, and there’s a little extended thing going on that I have to write… and I’m still working on. I guess I’ll be done with it for sure when the cab arrives.

And of course, Wendy’s massive exhibit at the Albright, which I’m looking forward to seeing in person.. the pictures she’s sent are awesome. Of course, I’m looking forward to seeing her in person again. It’s been a long few days. Also, keep an eye out at both locations for the moblog screens… and I think that’s all I’m doing.

Off to Buffalo. First stop, Duffs for the best wings in the world. Hot, please.

I don’t really know where the time goes, but I never seem to have enough of it. I’m about 70% ready to head off to Buffalo for the MIA Music Festival and the Rockin’ at the Knox art thing. Still gotta pull together a live set, but DJ stuff is done, cd is mastered, artwork is ready… blah. A million and a half small things to be done. Making that list alone took me almost an hour.

It’s much later than I planned to be up. Dinner with John, then headed back home to sort out the DJ sets for the festival. Wen’s off already, landed in buffalo and driving home to see her family, so there’s no voice of reason here sending me to bed.

It’s taking much longer than planned… using Traktor and doing all mp3 software based mixing is cool, but there’s a hell of a lot of setup involved. Gotta sort out the music libraries, apply beatmaps to all the tracks to keep them in decent time. Finally finished all of that, and starting doing a real mix, which I’m digging on but I think I’m done. time for bed. Back to it tomorrow.
